The Irwell Medical Practice Patient Participation Group and Irwell Medical Practice invite you to join them at a Frauds and Scams awareness session.

Recently a number of patients, mainly elderly, but some younger patients have fallen victim to telephone frauds and scams. This has left them feeling extremely vulnerable and anxious.

Top Tips to Stay Safe

  • Never share personal or banking details with someone you don’t trust
  • Be cautious of unexpected calls, texts or emails asking for money or information
  • Don’t feel pressured — scammers often create urgency to rush you
  • Check links and email addresses carefully before clicking
  • If something feels wrong, trust your instincts and double-check with a trusted person or organisation
  • Remember: banks and official organisations will never ask for passwords or PINs
