Bacup Fundraiser
Bacup charities receive donation from raffle organisers
Four charities which help residents in Bacup received £250 each from a raffle.
The fundraiser was organised by Bacup's Irwell Medical Practice Patient Participation Group (PPG).

Chairman Margaret Talukdar said: "At Christmas, the PPG organised a raffle, and it raised just under £600.
"Then the practice very kindly donated enough to make the funds raised up to £1,000."
Cheques were given to Veterans In Communities, Stubbylee Community Greenhouses, Beacon Dementia and Wellbeing, and Bacup Family Centre.

Mrs Talukdar added: "I would like to say thanks to all the staff at the health centre, to all the patients and the community for helping us to raise so much money and a special thanks to the practice for topping up what we raised from nearly £600 to £1,000; without them we just could not have done it."
